Cairns Central Medical is a mixed billing clinic. This means some consultations may attract an out of pocket fee, while Medicare rebates apply where eligible. Fees can vary depending on the type and length of the appointment. Please contact our reception team for current fees.
How do I book an appointment?
Appointments can be booked by calling our clinic on 07 4031 3717. Online booking options may also be available. If you are unsure which appointment type you need, our reception team will be happy to assist.
Where is the clinic located?
We are conveniently located at Shop 112a, 1 to 21 McLeod Street, Cairns City QLD 4870, within Cairns Central Shopping Centre, making access easy by public transport and car.
Do you accept new patients?
Yes, Cairns Central Medical is currently accepting new patients. We welcome individuals, families, and children and aim to provide ongoing, patient centred care.
What services do you offer?
We provide a wide range of general practice services including general GP consultations, family and children’s health, women’s and men’s health, chronic disease management, mental health care plans, preventive health checks, and more. Please visit our Services page for full details.
Do you offer chronic disease management and care plans?
Yes. Our GPs provide chronic disease management, including GP Management Plans and Team Care Arrangements where appropriate. These plans support patients with long term conditions and help coordinate ongoing care.
What languages are spoken at the clinic?
Our doctors speak English, and some doctors also speak Arabic and Tagalog (Filipino). Please let our reception team know if you have a language preference when booking.
What should I bring to my appointment?
Please bring your Medicare card, any relevant concession cards, a list of current medications, and any referral letters or test results if applicable.
